"Johnny Battles Robots"

Acrylic paint on wood

18" x 18" x 1.5"

Unframed

This is an original painting by Mr Hooper of Nashville Tennessee. It is a depiction of the legendary country music star Johnny Cash. In this painting, Mr. Cash is dressed in traditional stage attire based on his mid-1960s career. In the painting, Mr. Cash is seen battling robots in the streets of some small town. You will notice that one building is on fire. The 1960s were a particular rough period for Johnny Cash who famously battled a drug problem and was even arrested at one point for bringing amphetamines into the US from Mexico. (In no way do I mean to over-shadow Johnny Cash's brilliant career by focusing on one dark period of his life, nor do I wish to make light of substance abuse.)
