This is an original painting by Mr. Hooper of Nashville, Tennessee. It is a depiction of a half human and half deer riding a raccoon. The title of the painting is "Red," which refers to the red uniform of the central figure. The painting was inspired by recent political events, but it is not a specific commentary. This painting is intended to be a reflection on the ridiculous nature of the political process.

The central figure, the deer/man carrying a sword, is a self-appointed revolutionary leader. He is riding a raccoon because a raccoon is a scavenger. In effect this fellow represents no one but himself.

This painting also features a drunken elephant and a donkey from a pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey game. Also notice the booze bottle with a human face, the bees, the pig and the Kool-Aid Man.
