"A Stranger Visits Bakertown"
Acrylic paint on wood
16" x 16" x 1.5"
Ready to hang
This is an original painting by Mr. Hooper of Nashville, Tennessee. It is a depiction of a gentleman (comedian Richard Pryor) dressed in a blue suit and holding a map in his hand. He is walking along a brick path where he is joined by many characters. In the foreground there sign with an arrow pointing to the right of the image. The sign has the word of the gentleman's destination: "Bakertown." The other characters in the painting also seem to be pointing to the right side of the image. Bakertown is somewhat ambiguous and not at all defined in the painting.
