$99.11

"Tafty (East Nashville Robot Works)"
Original Silkscreen Print
Paper size: 36.5" X 30"
Image size: 28.5" X 22

This is a silkscreen print that was created by Mr. Hooper and printed by Vanderbilt University's Art Department in Nashville, Tennessee. This edition was pulled by hand and is an edition limited to 47. It is a depiction of a robot named "Tafty" because his appearance is somewhat similar to that of William Howard Taft. The image is produced with shades of blue screen ink. Notice the robot's guitar and the words "East Nashville Robot Works" over the robot's head.

The East Nashville Robot Works is a fictional robot factory created by me (Mr. Hooper). It is, in effect, a continuing narrative that explains the origin of the robots I paint. It is also a metaphor for my studio in East Nashville. If you are interested you can check out the East Nashville Robot Works page on facebook, where you can learn more of the story.
